Creamy Elegance

This East County beauty had an extremely awkward floor plan with odd angles that divided the kitchen into 2 very separate areas,  cut off from the main living areas. the entry to the kitchen was only 2 feet in width.

I opened up the space and created 4 floor to ceiling columns and a 1/2 height column with recessed LED lighting. These are clad in a natural travertine stone, and the center of the kitchen is anchored with a large 3 level island

Both modern and traditional elements were used within. Perimeter cabinets were a contemporary door style and color and sported more contemporary hardware.  the sink area pops out and has quirky legs that have a modern stainless accent in a more traditional shape. The island has a more traditional feel and different cabinet pulls.

The awkward angle was improved and resulted in a 48" pantry at a gentle angle to a 48" pantry.

All doors and drawers have electronic BLUM devices that open with a simple touch. the area to the far right is the baking area with large appliance garages.
